CALCULATION OF THEORETICAL VALUE OF STRAIN TIDES AND ITS HARMONIC ANALYSIS

In this paper, the formulae of theoretical value of strain earth tide and the harmonic analysis formulae are derived. The authors have developed the geodetic coefficients and the phase correction of strain earth tides (long periodic waves, diurnal waves, semidiurnal waves, terdiurnal waves) by means of Doodson's harmonic development of the generating tide potential. The formulae of theoretical values have been checked by using Venedikov's harmonic analysis. In order to indicate the development and the level of the observation of strain earth tide in China today, the first results of harmonic analysis of the observation data from three stations have been shown.
