Design of M-Band Cosine-Modulated Orthogonal Wavelet

A method for designing M-band cosine-modulated orthogonal wavelet is proposed .The prototype filter is formulated as a cascade of a filter satisfying the K-r egular condition and one to be designed.In addition,both objective function and constraints in the optimization are expressed as quadratic functions with respec t to free parameters.The optimization is therefore simplified and better frequen cy selective M-band cosine-modulated orthogonal wavelet can be designed with t his method.
