Semi-automatic domain ontology construction based on WordNet and focused crawler

Traditional ontology constructing was criticized because of its high costs and time-consumption.The domestic and foreign automatic ontology construction methods were contrasted and profited.A semi-automatic domain ontology construction method based on WordNet and focused crawler was proposed.WordNet as the kernel,focused crawler for auxiliary,concept similarity was calculated,domain ontology could be constructed.The experiment shows that in this way domain ontology can be built semi-automatically and quickly,and continually ontology can be expanded.
