Chirp signal parameters estimation based on signal reconstructing and least-squares
Bin Tang · Chinese Journal of Radio Science · 2007
This paper firstly reconstructed a new signal with higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by multi-lag discrete polynomial transform method, then obtained the instantaneous phase, and lastly estimated the first and second order phase coefficients of chirp signal by using least-squares technique. Even at low SNRs, the estimates are still achieve Cramer-Rao bound (CRB). Moreover, the SNR threshold of this method is low and adjustable. The estimator is simple and easy to implement. Simulation demonstrated its effectiveness.
