Network flow intrusion detection using fuzzy theory

The network flow intrusion may cause network losing response,furthermore,if mixed with network cheating,more economic loss will be induced.The detection of the network intrusion based on net flow was proved to be difficult because of the inaccuracy of the net flow model.The related theories of fuzzy mathematics,combined with gradient algorithm were introduced into the description traffic for traffic assessment,and the inaccurate judge caused by quantitative algorithm in assessing of network traffic was well avoided.Some tests were done for several intrusion events and the results prove the effectiveness of the fuzzy approach presented.
