Multiple Dimension Data Modeling Method for Statistical Data Sheets Based on Semantic Analysis

For implementing statistical analysis applications,it is the most fundamental task to design back-end database to support front-end data sheets processing,including data capturing,calculation and presentation.It always depends on technical designer's personal experiences instead of rule-based step-by-step procedure and has been regarded asartinstead ofscientific technology.A risky result is that different technical designers might create different data models for one same set of statistical data sheets pre-defined by business end-users,which can cause big troubles both for system performance and on-going application maintenance.Through in-depth study on real case to summarize business rules,a formal method based on semantic analysis was proposed to support creating unified multiple dimension data model from pre-defined statistical data sheets and applied in a large SOE information system project as PoC(Proof-ofConcept).
