A Simple and Effective Method of Data-Exchange between XML and Relational Database

Relational database is a kind of developed database technology and widely used. XML has also become the standard of data storage and exchange. In many web services and applications, data-exchange between XML and relational database is needed, which is implemented by XSLT currently. XSLT is a kind of complex low-performance transformation. This paper offers a new kind of mapping rule. After the design work of mapping rule, we implement the system and test it. Results show that the data-exchange can be implemented more simply and effectively in this way.
