Estimation crowd density for surveillance

Crowd density estimation is a very important issue in intelligentized crowd surveillance,which has quite important effect and significance for people.This paper proposes a novel crowd density estimation method,which first employs wavelet transform and grey level dependence matrix to extract the features,then uses the support vector machine to identify the level of the crowd density.According to the experiments,the results show that this method is efficient and feasible.
