Grid Meteorology Information System is an application system which makes full use of weather information to provide decision support for meteorological disasters warning and meticulous management of Power Grid.In addition,the system will effectively achieved weather disasters prevention and mitigation of power system. Based on the relationship between the grid data of forecast weather elements and wire power load information,the paper established a power load forecasting model.The model combined the environmental boundary conditions,numerical weather prediction and geographic information to develop a transmission line capacity forecasting and early warning function module for Power Grid operation and dispatching.
