The method of separating signals based on partial time-domain coherent algorithm can precisely separate non-random signals and satisfactorily handle signals mixed with random noise or instantaneous signals such as explosion or fracture component.A instant-mixing model was analyzed first by applying partial time-domain coherent function,i.e.a second order statistics. Then, the parameters of the model were estimated and each component contained in the mix was eventually separated. The input signal model for this solution is virtually the same as that of the self-adapting separation but the idea and algorithm are simple and easy for understand. As is shown from the results of computer simulation experiments on random noise and instantaneous signals with the frequency features of color noises, both function and separating precision of this solution are better than those of the self-adapting in separating the impulsive signals.
