Development of an information extraction (IE) system using Oracle relational database system

Information Extraction (IE) is a method to extract relevant and useful information from the documents. The objectives of this study are to develop an information extraction method using relational database operations and develop an information extraction system to extract information for free-text documents. The pattern-matching method is developed through three stages using sequential Oracle SQL scripts.
