A Schmitt Trigger Design Technique for ‘Logic-Noise-Spike’ Elimination

Bryan L. Hart · International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education · 1984

A simple graphical procedure is introduced to optimise the design of a regenerative comparator (Schmitt trigger) capable of eliminating from a logic voltage waveform both positive-going ‘noise spikes’ contaminating the ‘0’ level (positive logic convention) and negative-going noise spikes contaminating the ‘1’ level.
