Managing system risk throughout the engineering lifecycle provides assurance that the end product is safe and secure. However, a series of unique challenges exist within the maritime sector that make doing so for cyber security risks particularly complex. Solutions to these challenges are suggested and a collection of the relevant standards and guidance is given so that organisations can build their own secure development lifecycles for use within the marine sector.
