Algorithms for biomedical image reconstruction and rendering.

The goal of segmentation is to simplify and/or change the representation of an image into something that is more meaningful and easier to analyze. This report details the project taken by the author which shows how the Insight Development ToolKit (ITK) can be used to develop biomedical images from radiography for image analysis. For the project, the author illustrates how the various classes provided by ITK can be used to segment a particular image and how these classes, when combined with each other can produce an improved image which can be used to yield a better image analysis. The results of this project are the segmented images and their statistical distribution within the original image.
