Summary form only given, as follows. Conventional software development methodologies are no longer applicable in modern software development, especially on large projects. Today's most innovative companies practice Continuous Delivery (CD), a new methodology that improves code quality and developmental efficiency of complex software projects. While CD was introduced relatively recently, its principles bear strong resemblance to the characteristics of mankind Confucius described 2,500 years ago. "Modern Software Engineering and Ancient Philosophy" will introduce CD and explore how the ancient philosopher's wisdom is as relevant in today's software development as it was back then.
