Redefinition of dispatch reliability along with dispatch modeling and simulation
Wen Bei Zhan, Jian Jiao · 2016
Dispatch reliability (DP) is an index which describes the probability that a flight can take-off on time. This article intends to redefine the dispatch reliability, and thus can reflect a more realistic operational performance, and also have reference value to both aircraft designing and operating management. The new definition will contain relatively overall influencing factors, both mechanical and non-mechanical. Then, a model of dispatch process that contains the influence factors listed will be built in Petri Nets. The model describes the process of dispatch about judging those input parameters to decide whether to allow the aircraft to take off. Then it describes transferring the Petri Nets model to the Stateflow simulation model, which can run in MATLAB and finally the simulation to calculate the dispatch reliability. A new literal definition will be given. And a general transfer approach from the Petri Nets model to the Stateflow simulation model will be found. The simulation result can be compared with real operational data. If the error is acceptable, then the module is correct to a certain extent. In the design stage when improving aircraft performance, we can do iterative optimization of the design parameters, finally achieving the ideal dispatch reliability. Further analysis of critical factors can be performed.
