Analysis and Design of a Low-Voltage BGR Circuit

Xiaojiang Li, Shulin Liu · International Conference on Electric Information and Control Engineering · 2012

A novel low-voltage band-gap reference circuit is presented and can provide a lower reference voltage. The voltage of the Band-Gap Reference (BGR) circuit not only can be regulated by the technology of resistor shunt, but also the voltage can be stabilized at the setting value through the negative feedback circuit. The working principle of the BGR circuit is analyzed, and it is pointed out that the output voltage has good temperature characteristics by adding the positive feedback circuit. The power supply rejection ratio is improved by the differential amplifier. The circuit structure is simple and no special requirements on the process. The simulation results based on the CSMC 0.6-µm CMOS process verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the proposed methods.
