Digital Watermarking: a Technical Overview

Digital watermarking technology has been playing an important role in protecting copyrights in images, audio and video. these can be accurately copied and arbitrarily distributed more easily. Watermarking algorithm has good robustness against the attacks like rotation, image compression, noise addition, filtering and MP4 compression etc. The most popular algorithm in spatial domain is LSB methods. In transform domain watermarking algorithms based on DCT,DWT, discrete Hadamard transform, singular value decomposition and discrete Fourier transform all are discusses this literature. Digital watermarking is the process of embedding information into a digital signal in a way that it difficult to remove.
