An Improved Kernel-based Minimum Mean Square Error Algorithm and Its Application

The original Kernel-based minimum Mean Square Error(KMSE) algorithm,depends on a number of equations to address the multi-class classification problem,which causes a large computational afford.A new KMSE algorithm for Multi-class Kernel-based minimum Mean Square Error(KMSEMC) is proposed for multi-class recognization.It uses only one equation to do so,which is not only mathematically tractable but also computationally efficient.Experimental results on AR face databases show that KMSEMC outperforms KMSE in terms of computation and classification accuracy.
