Research of Text Clustering Algorithm Based on Conceptual Semantic Field

Traditional keyword-based text clustering algorithm is less desirable in the clustering results because of its difficulty in making full use of the semantic features of the text. First this paper presents a notion of conceptual semantic field, and gives the algorithm for building How Net-based conceptual semantic fields. And this paper proposes a text clustering algorithm based on conceptual semantic field. This algorithm takes fully advantage of the semantic features of words and has a good effect on the irregular shape clustering. Experiments show that the algorithm can effectively improve the quality of clustering.
