A Programme for Correction of Single Spelling Errors in Hindi Words

The paper identifies sources of errors in spelling in Hindi and presents an algorithm for correction of single error in a word. The programme finds application in document preparation, word processing and teaching of Hindi. Limitations of the algorithm are also enumerated.
