An optoelectronic instrument for remote on-line movement monitoring
Loukia Lindholm · 1974
The usual method of recording body movements is high-speed filming. A disadvantage of this method is that the results from the filming are not immediately available for analysis. The recorded film first must be developed, and then a series of measurements must be performed on each individual film frame. Filming for 10 sec at a speed of 1,000 frames per sec requires that 10,000 frames be processed!
