A Review of the RADA Techniques

Joydeep Das · IETE Journal of Education · 1978

The conventional multiplexing techniques, e.g., FDMA and TDMA, require complete frequency or time synchronisation among all the transmitters and receivers. Asynchronous multiplexing and multiaccessing, however, may be obtained by using CDMA, PAMA or Hybrid techniques, giving immediate random access to the channel. RADA systems have also anti-jamming capability and the overall channel capacity using RADA is comparable to that obtained through FDMA or TDMA. The paper gives a review of the principles, techniques and performances of various RADA systems.
