The convergence on the service layer plays an important role in network convergence. Increasing requirements could be seen for the convergence of subscriber in the converged multi-service environment. Based on the analysis of multiple data management entities (e.g. AAA server, HLR, DNS), Unified Subscriber Profile Server (USPS) is brought forward in this paper. The architecture and major implementation technologies (Data Mapping Script) are also introduced. The application of USPS will best satisfy the requirements on subscriber convergence for multi-service service providers in the coming converged network, which would be a service oriented network.
