Erratum: Quantum negacyclic codes [Phys. Rev. A88, 012326 (2013)]

We would like to point out and correct an error in Construction III of our paper.The condition "Let l be an odd divisor of q 2 -1" in Lemmas 3.8, 3.9, and 3.10 and Theorem 3.11 should be corrected to "Let l be an odd divisor of q -1 or q + 1."This error does not affect the results and conclusions of the original paper.In addition, based on classical negacyclic codes, we construct a family of quantum maximum-distance-separable (MDS) codes with parameters [[q + 1,q -2d + 3,d]] q , where q ≡ 1 mod 4 and 2 d (q + 3)/2.We recently noted that this family of quantum MDS codes was constructed by using a different method in [1].
