This article is published for its intrinsic interest. It is also a reminder to nurses that it will be difficult to support the claim of nursing to the coveted status of a profession until nurses more generally adopt the scientific method of experinemtation, i. e., experiments, recording of results, checking up of findings, and the publications of conclusions, in order that they may be further tested by practitioners of the art of nursing.
