Radio range mapping in Wireless Sensor Networks

Nandakishor Sirdeshpande, V. R. Udupi · 2016

Radio coverage is helpful in estimation of Radio connectivity. Coverage problem is the main issue in the Wireless Sensor Networks. Hence the path loss model is used for the calculation of signal strength of each node to the base station. The values obtained for the path loss are used to plot a Cartesian graph with the base station as the origin and plotting other nodes as per their co-ordinate locations in the network created with respect to base station location. Lines are drawn to each node fro the origin and extended. A plot of path loss vs loss values obtained from other nodes and the points are joined to obtain the coverage of the Base station.
