A 60-minute high definition optical video disc system with a 670 nm laser diode is developed .High density recording is required for long playing time and this is achieved by shortening track pitch and slowing recording velocity .In this paper, signal transfer characteristics through disc mastering and an optically read -out signal are discussed, and the video disc system is summarized .The modulation transfer function, cross-talk and inermodulation are calculated and compared with experimental results .
