Analysis of Reviewer Credit Sharing in Open Peer Review Systems

The publication of scientific research papers is becoming more open in present that means traditional peer review is changing towards open peer review system. A model of credit sharing in open peer review systems is proposed in this paper. We adapt the model of division of cognitive labor pioneered by Kitcher and modify this model to our usage. The paper provides some detailed analysis of credit sharing problem in open peer review systems for reviewers on some special cases. The results demonstrate the relationship among authors, reviewers and the number of papers.
