Comment on the Coefficient of Ordinal Variation

An index of dispersion and a related standardized coefficient of variation for ordinal categorical data were recently introduced in this journal. These two measures were based on the use of category scores. In this paper, we show these measures can alternatively be expressed in terms of cumulative proportions (probabilities).
