Retrieval Properties of the Neural Networks with Clipped Synapses

The exact parallel dynamical equation for a diluted, clipped Hopfield neural network is derived by probabilistic approach. The retrieval properties of the network are discussed in detail. The presented results show that the clipped synapses strongly influence the dynamical behavior and retrieval properties of the network, which make the size of retrieval attractor smaller. The maximum critical loading capacity for the clipped network is observed.
