Safety Related Applications of Simple Optical-Electronic Sensors for Robots

Many devices have been developed to promote the safety of people working with robots. The most promising appear to be on board passive sensors that involve optical-electronic vision sensors. An approach to evaluation of the adequacy of simple sensors is suggested.
