Internet of Things (IoT) focuses on the IntelliSense interaction between the human, agriculture and the environment. This paper presents a survey on the delay-tolerant technology (DT) in IoT, which is no reliable end to end path and the storewaittransmit mechanism is used to ensure delivery success rate in the case of long delay. DT represents a fairly new networking paradigm that allows interconnection between devices that current networking technology cannot provide. This paper provides an overview of several DT models and discusses typical node mobility models in IoT, including mobility method, data delivery scheme and queue management scheme. Several representative routing algorithms of DT are discussed in detail for different IoT applications with high efficiency and low consumption.
