General Purpose Intelligent Sensors
Haskard · 1987
Sensors are important components of instrument and control systems, yet most sensors available today do not fully utilise the full potential of microelectronic fabrication techniques. Further the output from most sensors is analogue and therefore incompatible with the digital microprocessor, today's key element in electronic systems. This paper outlines an approach taken to produce a sensor of a general purpose nature that overcomes these and other deficiencies.
