INTRODUCTION A geometry modeling and surface / volume grid generation package: CAGI (Computer Aided Grid Interface), applicable to complex grid generation configurations is presented. The geometry definition and grid generation technique is based on NURBS @on-uniform Rational S (ii) Geometry manipulation -NURBS geometric tool kits are included for a easy manipulation of those sculptured geometry. The technique to redistribute candidate m e or surface with desired distribution (in either parametric space or physical space) has been developed; (iii) Geometry generation generating the NURBS sculpted geometry is also included. This package provides a linkage between the CAD/CAM tools and the grid generation systems. Computational examples are presented to demonstrate the success of this approach. e * This work is sponsored by NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. 't Graduate Studen.
