Randy L. Hanzlick · American Journal of Forensic Medicine & Pathology · 1990

Medical examiners collect large amounts of data. In many instances, the data sit in a folder and are lost to further usefulness beyond the disposition of a single case. Scientific or administrative data, if compiled, can serve to advance knowledge in our field, protect public health, and improve the day-to-day operations of our death investigation agencies.
