Two-Parameter Deformations of SU(2) and SU(1,1) Algebras

The algebras SU(2) and SU(1,1) are promoted to two-parameter quantum universal enveloping algebras (QUEA) by a double-parameter deformation in this paper. The discrete unitary irreducible representations and their deformed coherent states are studied. The deformed generators are given by a Jordan-Schwinger realization and a Bargmann-Fock representation. It is also interesting that the two-parameter deformed coherent states are found to relate to the one-parameter deformed ones by a simple scaling transformation and this can be used to derive the completeness relation of the former.
