Some Remarks about an Electronic Signature Derived from a Generalized RSA-Code
Luigia Berardi · Journal of Information and Optimization Sciences · 1990
Many cryptographic systems which are connected with secure Electronic Fund Transfer nets need that the messages can be identified. In some cases the indentity of the transmitter must be proved to a third man, the so called arbiter, and this is the authentication problem. Each procedure of numerical signature permits identification and authentication. We deal with these problems in several Data systems or services such as: electronic transactions, Point of Sale (POS) banking, interactive videotex, broadcoast, confidential data in medicine, etc. In a previous paper, written together B. Rizzi [1], we introduced a generalized RSA code. In this paper, we prove that such a code can be used for a numerical signature.
