Rockwell has developed a family of multi-processors specifically designed to allow miniaturized implementation using multichip modules These processors are capable of performing both data and signal processing in an extremely compact package. A complete software development environment has also been developed to facilitate the use of multiple processors using both shared memory and message passing.
