A New Improved Combination Rule of Evidence Theory

Jing Bai · Journal of Information and Computational Science · 2014

DS evidence theory is a useful method, but it will generate a wrong conclusion when dealing with the highly conflict evidences. To solve the problem of conflict evidence, this paper presents an efficient combination rule, that is, the evidence’s conflicting probability is distributed to every proposition according to its conflict degree with others. The numerical example shows the efficiency of the proposed method, and the conclusion of the fusion is more consistent with facts. The new combination rule improves the reliability and rationality of the combination results, and it provides a new way for DS evidence theory algorithm improving
