The Role for Context Assessment and Conformity Adjudication for Adaptive Space Situation Awareness (SSA)

The fundamental deficiency with operational automated situation assessment and response software systems is that in too many cases they deliver the answer to the problem they were designed to solve and do not make automated use of other relevant mission context information. Users need Context Assessment to automatically find the relevant current mission contextual knowledge and provide measures of conformity of the situation assessments to this context. With that information the current situation assessments can be automatically adjudicated and the fusion process can be automatically adapted as needed.
