As the parameters giving expression to a dispersion or reproducibility of some phenomena, standard deviation (SD), mean deviation (MD) and average variation (AV) were compared. It is proved that MD is smaller than SD, and that SDMD ratio is fallen into a certain range of which borders depend upon only the sample numbers. Higher order-dependent nature of AV and fully order-independent nature of SD in data array are also discussed. An application of AV seems to be better to restrict to particular cases in which the valuables should also have higher order-dependent nature.
