Stability of Periodic Control

Tsutomu Fujino · Transactions of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers · 1956

This paper is concerned with a theoretical study of the sampling servomechanisms with constant dead time. R.C.Oldenboug established the theory of stability of the periodic control by the use of difference equations. The author developed the theory by the same method for the process of first-order retarded system with positive, zero and negative self regulation, equipped with an automatic controller with rigid follow up. It is clarified that, when the controlled system has zero or negative self regulation, it is necessary to give rigid follow up to obtain stable regulation.
