Method of Extracting Traffic Character Based on History Data of Transportation Information System

Urban Transportation Information System provided important decision-making support to transportation planning, design and management. And its job was based on abundance traffic history information, especially the characteristic information of intelligence transportation system. The specific demand for the traffic data application of Urban Transport Information System was analyzed, which mainly included three aspects: efficient data obtaining and storage, standardization for data content and format, transportation planning and management orientated data application. Then, the feature and constitution of the traffic history characteristic data was extracted from the parameter characteristic dimension, the time characteristic dimension, the spatial characteristic dimension and the statistical characteristic dimension. And then, the production processing of the traffic history characteristic data was given, as well as the computation of each characteristic dimensions data. At last, the application of these methods and algorithms was introduced in each information service parts of real system (Shenzhen Municipal Transport Simulation System SUTSS).
