A survey on edge reconstruction of graphs

Since the proof of the four colour problem one of the major challenges in graph theory is the problem of reconstruction of graphs from a collection of subgraphs. Many results of various kinds have been obtained, while the original conjecture remains quite elusive. This paper is a survey on edge reconstruction of graphs.
