Support vector machine based face recognition
N. Chauhan, Prashanth Harshangi, K. George · 2009
Face recognition surveillance systems are becoming increasingly important with the ever changing requirements of security concerns of countries, corporations, and individuals. However, current face recognition techniques are susceptible to variable illumination, facial expression, and detail. In this paper, we demonstrate that face recognition using support vector machines are immune toward noise, does not require image pre-processing, and can be used with rather low image resolutions.
