A novel method of speech coding using Transform Coding And Polynomial approximation

This paper introduces a new algorithm for voiced speech coding at low bit rates, which aims to produce high quality speech with low complexity. A novel technique on speech coding based on Transform Coding and Polynomial approximation has been discussed. Our method belongs to a class of hybrid speech coding methods, where Vocoder techniques as well as Waveform coding techniques have been adopted. Above methodology provides significant speech compression while retaining acceptable speech quality at the receiving end. (4 pages)
