NLP for text mining and decision making

Complex decisions involve, of necessity, large amounts of complex data containing a broad range of information types - a situation that makes clarity in decision-making a challenge. Coupled with this is the added difficulty that much of the information needed for making decisions exists in non-structured, textual files. To resolve this situation, recent advances in Natural Language Processing-based information access and analytic technologies have been coupled with clarifying visualization techniques to produce systems that can facilitate advanced text-mining capabilities to support decision-making.
