Handwriting and signature recognition

With the development of the current networked society, personal identification based on biometrics has received more attention. A biometric system provides automatic identification of an individual based on a unique feature or characteristic possessed by the individual. Handwriting and signature recognition has a satisfying performance due to its high reliability and non-invasion as a result of rich texture of handwriting and signature patterns. In this, pre-processing, especially handwriting and signature localization plays a very important role. The work involves developing handwriting and signature recognition system in order to verify both the uniqueness of the human handwriting along with signature and also its performance as a biometric.
