Codes over ℤ4+vℤ4

In this paper we study linear codes over the ring R = ℤ4+ vℤ4, where v2= v. Using a Gray map on R we obtain the MacWilliams identities for both Lee and Gray weight enumerators for codes over R. We also briefly discuss self-dual codes over R. We give some construction methods of self-dual and self-orthogonal codes, and illustrate them with some examples.
